Privacy Policy

epzydrop is built by Astrivix. This policy explains what data epzydrop collects, where it goes, and why — in plain language, because the honest answer is: almost nothing leaves your devices.
The short version
- epzydrop has no user accounts, no sign-in, and no cloud storage.
- Files are sent directly between your phone and your computer over your local Wi-Fi network.
- Astrivix does not operate a server that your files, or information about them, pass through.
- We don't run analytics or tracking inside epzydrop.
How a transfer actually works
The desktop app starts a small web server on your computer that only your local network can reach. The mobile app finds that server — by scanning a QR code or typing its address — and sends the file straight to it. The file is written to a folder on your computer (Documents/LAN File Transfer by default). At no point does the file, or any part of it, travel over the internet or through infrastructure we operate.
What's stored, and where
Because there's no server or account behind epzydrop, every record described below is stored locally, on your own device, and is never transmitted to Astrivix or anyone else.
- On your computer: the desktop app keeps a local list of files it has received (name, size, and time) so you can see your transfer history across sessions. This list, and the files themselves, live only on that computer's disk.
- On your phone: the mobile app remembers the last computer you connected to and a short history of files you've sent (name, size, destination, time), stored in the app's local storage on your device. You can clear this at any time from the History tab.
Permissions the mobile app requests
- Camera — used only when you tap "Scan to Connect," to read the QR code shown on the desktop app. epzydrop does not access the camera at any other time.
- Photos — used only when you choose a photo or video to send. epzydrop does not browse or access your library outside of that picker.
Network security
epzydrop is designed for trusted networks — your home or office Wi-Fi. The current version does not require a password or code to send a file to a computer running the desktop app; anyone who knows (or can find) its address on the same network could send it a file. We don't recommend running epzydrop on public or untrusted Wi-Fi networks.
No ads, no third parties
epzydrop doesn't include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics, or data brokers. We don't sell or share data, because we don't collect any to begin with.
Children's privacy
epzydrop is not directed at children, does not collect personal information, and has no mechanism to knowingly gather data from anyone, regardless of age.
Changes to this policy
If epzydrop's architecture changes in a way that affects this policy, we'll update this page and change the date above.
